    Toll Brothers City Living seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer / Superintendent  for our City Living Division in Jersey City, New Jersey.

    In this role, you will be responsible for the daily management, supervision, coordination and successful completion of the Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Sprinkler (MEPS) trades to meet time and cost objectives with respect to contracting, scheduling, estimating, bidding and contract administration functions. 


    Some responsibilities include:

    • Reviewing design development drawings, assisting in construction feasibility reviews, and generating comments and/or RFIs to design team prior to the issuance of 100% Contract Documents
    • Developing, reviewing, approving, and implementing scope of work, schedules and contract bid documents
    • Preparing a Mechanical Coordination schedule
    • Organizing, conducting, and representing the company at project coordination meetings at regular agreed-upon intervals
    • Leading or assisting Mechanical Coordination meetings between all the trades and the consultants, and ensuring approved Mechanical Coordination drawings are being executed correctly
    • Supervising the installation of all MEPS field operations with seamless integration into general construction schedule

    • Preferably a four-year degree in an accredited engineering or construction related curriculum
    • Two to three years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager or Assistant Superintendent or at least 6-8 years of construction related experience
    • Demonstrated competency in the areas of MEPS relative to estimating, scheduling, budgeting/cost control, field supervision, interpersonal skills, computer skills, safety/insurance, and solid written and verbal communication skills
    • An understanding of the essential job functions and responsibilities of the Project Superintendent
    • Competency with PC-based scheduling and spreadsheet applications. These include Prolog, Primavera, Timberline, J.D.Edwards-AS/400, Excel, Project and Word
