Toll Architecture, a national full-service Toll Brothers company seeks a Job Captain to coordinate, organize, and lead project teams at our office in Horsham, Pennsylvania.


As a Job Captain, you will coordinate the efforts of multiple disciplines (both in-house and outside consultants), act as a technical and client coordinator and provide support to designers, field personnel, and construction administration teams.

 

You will be directing several CADD technicians and will report to the Studio Leader.

 

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Managing a small team of production associates and ensuring their tasks are completed on time and held to a high standard of quality.
  • Reviewing architectural drawings and permit sets for correctness before posting the finished product, or submitting to building departments.
  • Helping to develop and enforce the use of the many company standards used to make Toll Brothers a successful production builder.
  • Overseeing the tasks of the studio associates and the coordination required between various disciplines to see a project through, including but not limited to, land development engineers, structural engineers, outside consultants, and architectural designers.
  • Preparing and adhering to project budgets and schedules.
  • Facilitating the transition and training of staff to new standards and software programs.
  • Maintaining and updating documentation, websites, and checklists of processes and procedures.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of five years of experience in architectural firms and multiple single family construction
  • Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, MS Office, with experience in Revit an added bonus.
  • A college degree in Architecture and preferably on track to licensure.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship management skills
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in an environment that offers a certain degree of creativity and latitude
